obsession | tiffany blue & red

i cant get enough of this color combination. i envision an explosion of tiffany blue - but with red accents. like a red ribbon around the tiffany blue napkins; a tiffany blue vase with red roses; tiffany blue bridesmaid dresses, white bouquets with a red ribbon intertwined.

a reason why i love The Knot so much is because they organize things by color, or season, or destination. its so easy to find the right inspiration for your event, simply by knowing which colors you like. what color combinations are you using for your wedding or event?

obsession | cake alternatives

i almost did not share this post because i am SO obsessed with it that i am bound & determined to use it in my future nuptials. but i cant help it - i have to share. i love the beauty of wedding cakes. it is amazing the artistry that goes into them most of the time. my aunt makes gorgeous cakes (if you are looking for a baker, shoot me an email, ill get you her information).
but still - there is something about non-traditional desserts that make me smile. cupcakes are cute & i LOVE the idea of a country wedding with different types of homemade pies as the main dessert. but i found this while browsing the knot & i just have to have it:

i LOVE rice crispy treats. they remind me of my grandma & i am always a sucker for the giant starbucks ones with the extra marshmallows. oh how i lust....

MB2 sponsors needed

my fabulous sorority sister, allison kincaid, has designed the invitations for our masquerade ball the past 2 years. this year i have decided to add a silent auction to the event to raise more money for the bjh believe in miracles foundation. so allison has been putting together some amazing graphic work to help get the word out & to help us get some sponsors!

this is a sponsorship package we are currently offering. For $350, you would get 8 tickets to the masquerade ball (regularly $40 per ticket), a bottle of exclusive washington wine, and sponsorship recognition on all of our advertising and marketing. sponsorship recognition also includes a plaque on a table (that is not yours) that says "this table is sponsored by [insert company name]."

please contact me at meghanswanlund@comcast.net or 253.222.6399 if you are interested in this sponsorship opportunity, our would like to help in any way.

obsession | amazing exits

the wedding isn't over just be cause the ceremony is over & the first, and last, dances have been danced. you need a dramatic exit. some of my favorites: sparkles, bubbles, confetti & silly string. pass them out as favors with a note attached stating the purpose. this will encourage guests to stay & dance until the very last dance!
